Aviation Videos
"An Khe, Vietnam" - Rare film of 1st Cavalry (Air Mobile) at An Khe, Vietnam, filmed on 9-11 December 1965. Film was done as part of a briefing for the Army leadership. The 20-minute film shows maintenance and repair facilities, airfield, and some of the aviation platforms being used at that time. (Editor's note: If you happen to find information that is wrong on the tape, save it: the people who produced the tape are long since retired or dead).
Army Aviation (The Big Picture) - 28-minute film from the Army's "Big Picture" series dated 1 January 1961 (though we think it may be earlier) that focuses on Army Aviation 40 years ago. Great footage of very old systems and interesting footage on the "experimental" systems of that time.(Editor's note: If you happen to find information that is wrong on the tape, save it: the people who produced the tape are long since retired or dead).
Army Aviation Heritage: Flying Above The Best (1998)
"Chopper Pilot" - 28-minute film from the Army's "Big Picture" series dated 1 January 1967. Discusses training of pilots, pre-flight and flight training provided by the Warrant Officer Candidate program at Ft. Wolters, TX, and advanced training at the Army Aviation Center, Ft. Rucker, AL. (Editor's note: If you happen to find information that is wrong on the tape, save it: the people who produced the tape are long since retired or dead).
History of Aviation - 43-minute film produced by Ft. Rucker's historian in 1992. Great overview of aviation history; many interesting interviews with key decision makers.

Webmaster note: It's hard to provide video on the Internet for everyone. The files are huge and the downloads can take a lot of time. I know that folks with slower connections will have problems with them. I have tried to keep the Page friendly to everybody, and these movies are a departure from that. Please understand that with movies, a lot of data has to move very quickly in order for them to work. My apologies in advance if you are not able to see them as presented -- Ron
